Funky Chair Interiors (“we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through funkychairinteriors.co.uk and in our Hexham shop.

What we collect

When you order: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and order details.
Payment details: taken and processed by Shopify Payments and, where you choose it, Shop Pay. We never see or store your full card number.
When you enquire (for example our bespoke headboard form): your name, email, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project.
When you browse: cookies and similar technologies — see below.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To fulfil your order (performance of a contract). This includes sharing your delivery address with the brand partner or courier delivering your item — we cannot fulfil an order without doing this.
To answer your enquiries (our legitimate interests).
To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping records for tax.
To send you marketing — only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

Shopify, who provide our store platform and payment processing.
Our brand partners and their carriers, solely so that your order can be delivered.
Our professional advisers and HMRC, where we are legally required to.

We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Order records: 6 years (required by tax law).
Enquiries: 2 years.
Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.

Cookies

We use cookies to make the site work — keeping your basket and your session — and, only with your consent, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it ported elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
